After having worked in the cleaning industry for 5 years doing both commercial and residential cleaning I decided it was time to start my own cleaning business. The reason I chose the name Integrity Clean is because I truly care about performing excellent quality work and treating both clients and employees with the highest level of integrity. We are a local business native to here in Asheville which means that hiring us supports small business and local economy. By cutting out the middle-person that is so often involved with franchised businesses means we can offer competitive prices.
So why did I choose to start a cleaning business? Many may think that cleaning seems mundane and uninteresting. I started cleaning five years ago when I was in going back to school. I quickly realized that there was a lot of things I liked about it. I have worked in several different trades like carpentry and automotive and I love working with my hands. I am drawn to the cleaning industry because of the satisfaction of being able to see a place look great when I'm done with it and knowing that the people who are using that space will have a positive experience because of my work. I enjoy cleaning work because I love being able to see a direct visible result from my efforts. I really liked my cleaning job and had moved into a management position for a couple of years. Unfortunately I didn't agree with the business practices of my employer at the time and I wanted to do better. I started my own business so that I can I be in control of making sure a high quality job is done. Many employers in the cleaning industry pay people very little so it's no surprise that things often don't get done well! I see cleaning as a trade and that's how I treat it. I genuinely care about running an ethical and integritous business with focus on quality both in service and management.
